HerStory

In 2007, LadySonya, a Georgia native, began her life shift of miserably working multiple part-time jobs to prosper through college. In less than one year of living in Atlanta, having gone through seven part-time jobs in a one-year span, LadySonya quit her part-time job as a stock associate for Ross Department Store and decided to follow her dreams of becoming a legendary music instructor and studio owner. With no money saved, nothing but a Radio-Shack 76-key keyboard, and one year of college experience under her belt, she decided to start her own business of teaching piano lessons. Today, LadySonya Music Studio has consulted with thousands of students to include numerous celebrity producers/artist and Grammy Award Winning Producer, Justice League.

While non-traditional, our lessons are mixed with reading sheet music, music theory, sight-reading, ear-training and a balance of introducing ‘playing by ear’ a skill not commonly taught in the Atlanta area.
